While earlier experiments collected samples of order $\\sim 10^{9}$ $\\eta$, the proposed REDTOP (Rare Eta Decays To Observe Physics Beyond the Standard Model) facility targets $\\mathcal{O}(10^{14})$ $\\eta$ and $\\mathcal{O}(10^{12})$ $\\eta'$, enabling broad searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
