In most of its experiments, ICO has been investigated in a photonic platform. Here we investigate ICO in a cavity quantum electrodynamics (cQED) system composed of two cavities. Our results show that ICO can create entanglement between two distant cavity fields that never interact directly, and for the case of two cavity fields in the vacuum state, ICO presents an advantage over the fixed-order scenario by always generating large entanglement between the two cavity fields.
