Characterization by combined, atomic resolution, aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) analysis, indicates that the atomic structure of each InO2 layer consists of a single continuous sheet of octahedrally-coordinated InO2.
