The synthesis of a monolayer (ML) fullerene makes the combination of these two features plausible. In this work, using first-principles calculations, we systematically study the electronic structure, optical properties of quasi-hexagonal phase (qHP) ML and quasi-tetragonal phase (qTP) ML fullerenes.
