The bosonic baths are either external impedances modeled as tunable transmission lines or LC resonators (single-mode cavities). Voltage fluctuations stemming from the external impedances at zero temperature are described through harmonic oscillators (photon-like excitations) then producing the quantum vacuum fluctuations.
