Using the parameterisation of the deformation space of globally hyperbolic maximal anti-de Sitter structures on $S \\times \\mathbb{R}$ by the cotangent bundle over the Teichm\\\"uller space of $S$, we study the behaviour of these geometric structures along pinching sequences.
