A central novelty is the use of horizon-regular ingoing Eddington-Finkelstein coordinates, which enables a direct and unambiguous imposition of the ingoing boundary condition at the horizon. The exact radial solutions are in the form of confluent Heun functions. Imposing regularity at spatial infinity enforces a series truncation condition, yielding an exact quantization of the quasi-stationary frequencies.
