The magnetic toroidal moment is critical in understanding new electronic states and their possible uses. This paper discusses the notion of toroidicity waves. In particular, we present a one-dimensional model of interconnected toroidicity leading to an organization principle around an emergent quantum particle, a carrier of toroidicity waves, dubbed the toroidon. We illustrate some functionalities that could be achieved once control over the toroidon is acquired.
