Two magnetoelectric mechanisms are considered: interface strain- and charge-mediated magnetoelectric couplings. The former results in demagnetization, depolarization and repolarization within tens of picoseconds via respectively magnetostriction and piezoelectricity. Charge magnetoelectric interaction affects the ferroelectric/ferromagnetic feedback response leading to magnetization recovery.
