Modified Synthetic Evolution of Ligands through Exponential Enrichment (SELEX) was used to discover a DNA aptamer recognizing azole class antifungal drugs. This aptamer undergoes a secondary structural change upon binding to its target molecule as shown through fluorescence anisotropy-based binding measurements.
