We investigate its redshift dependence using luminosity distances reconstructed from cosmic chronometer and baryon acoustic oscillation measurements through Gaussian-process (GP) regression. Bayesian model comparison and posterior constraints show that the intrinsic dispersion is not well described by a single redshift-independent constant over $0.7<z<2.6$.
