The key component is an all-analog circuit capable of compressing two analog sources into one analog signal by Analog Joint Source-Channel Coding (AJSCC). Two circuit designs are discussed, including the stacked-Voltage Controlled Voltage Source (VCVS) design with the fixed number of levels, and an improved design, which supports a flexible number of AJSCC levels.
