Observations seem to indicate an approximately constant dark matter density in the inner parts of galaxies, while cosmological computer simulations indicate a steep power-law-like behaviour. This difference has become known as the \"core/cusp problem\", and remains one of the unsolved problems in small-scale cosmology.","external_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/0910.3538","cited_by_count":null,"metadata_source":"pith","metadata_fetched_at":"2026-06-30T00:04:05.882118+00:00","pith_arxiv_id":"0910.3538","created_at":"2026-05-11T08:46:00.410361+00:00","updated_at":"2026-06-30T00:04:05.882118+00:00","title_quality_ok":false,"display_title":"The Core-Cusp Problem","render_title":"The Core-Cusp Problem"},"hub":{"state":{"work_id":"dc81a22c-fa35-4cd8-a7fe-e1649ed0d0e9","tier":"hub","tier_reason":"10+ Pith inbound or 1,000+ external citations","pith_inbound_count":18,"external_cited_by_count":null,"distinct_field_count":5,"first_pith_cited_at":"2019-06-25T04:15:55+00:00","last_pith_cited_at":"2026-06-24T03:44:59+00:00","author_build_status":"not_needed","summary_status":"needed","contexts_status":"needed","graph_status":"needed","ask_index_status":"not_needed","reader_status":"not_needed","recognition_status":"not_needed","updated_at":"2026-06-30T08:09:34.522887+00:00","tier_text":"hub"},"tier":"hub","role_counts":[{"context_role":"background","n":5},{"context_role":"method","n":1}],"polarity_counts":[{"context_polarity":"background","n":5},{"context_polarity":"use_method","n":1}],"runs":{},"summary":{},"graph":{},"authors":[]}}
