We show that the centralizer $Cen(\\langle\\varphi\\rangle)$ of the cyclic subgroup generated by $\\varphi$ equals the stabilizer $\\text{Stab}(\\Lambda^+_\\varphi)$ of the attracting lamination $\\Lambda^+_{\\varphi}$ and is isomorphic to $\\mathbb Z$.
