At Alfv\\'en resonance, a reversible periodic exchange of energy between kinetic and magnetic variables is observed. The oscillations are identified as nonlinear dispersionless Alfv\\'en waves that have been predicted earlier on theoretical grounds but not observed in large scale numerical simulations.
