The walk is driven by a probability measure $\\mu$ on $G$ whose support generates a Zariski-dense subgroup. We show that the random walk equidistributes towards the Haar measure unless it is trapped in a finite $\\mu$-invariant set. Moreover, under arithmetic assumptions on the pair $(\\Lambda, \\mu)$, we show the convergence occurs at an exponential rate, tempered by the obstructions that the starting point may be high in a cusp or close to a finite orbit.\n  The mai","authors_text":"Timoth\\'ee B\\'enard, Weikun He","cross_cats":["math.CA","math.PR"],"headline":"","license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/","primary_cat":"math.DS","submitted_at":"2025-11-17T15:47:26Z","title":"Effective equidistribution of random walks on simple homogeneous spaces"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2511.13512","kind":"arxiv","version":3},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:09014170cd72574121cd908bf0309cb69cc5743394a7dfd4b492bbb8d52e6d43","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-27T01:05:39Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"797ef68af71f45c6dd9dc63a9b5e282739ff63571d9ad4b024cb05da9258b8a7","cross_cats_sorted":["math.CA","math.PR"],"license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/","primary_cat":"math.DS","submitted_at":"2025-11-17T15:47:26Z","title_canon_sha256":"0553a010e3c8bad8898d5782b0c49b02d6ed10aeae064deee51ffbd74e5fd9d5"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2511.13512","kind":"arxiv","version":3}},"canonical_sha256":"0f61cac59dece1733a6c55fdbbada6fe08c138e2c66c2dc7441fce0a50f996ad","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"0f61cac59dece1733a6c55fdbbada6fe08c138e2c66c2dc7441fce0a50f996ad","first_computed_at":"2026-05-27T01:05:39.892253Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-27T01:05:39.892253Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"PxpQFyGxS6ldC5FQ82ph7PHf6u3lzzS6qLjkiFyP4Mbgq3KEFVPe4XU7e37hcs3THqIBsTtL1gcII5DFXy+pAw==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-27T01:05:39.893142Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2511.13512","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":3}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:09014170cd72574121cd908bf0309cb69cc5743394a7dfd4b492bbb8d52e6d43","sha256:68f3ad5ba87e03edc6292a85c51933a2cf625227326c60f0fc330edff5901759"],"state_sha256":"680faa35e03dd88772ed0bf7fd4c2839f7518e462dfeb259e4e30c92abe2c17d"}
