If the absorption spectrum and the emission wavelength of the trapping laser are appropriately chosen, the trapping laser light can act as a source for two-photon excitation of the trapped quantum dot. This eliminates the need for an additional excitation laser in experiments where individual quantum dots are used both as force transducers and for visualization of the system. To use quantum dots as handles for quantitative optical force transduction, it is cr","authors_text":"Fabian Czerwinski, Lene Oddershede, Liselotte Jauffred, Marit Sletmoen","cross_cats":[],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"physics.optics","submitted_at":"2010-08-11T07:48:26Z","title":"Quantum dots as handles for optical manipulation"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"1008.1849","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:fe7784d7fedd72246eaebb42b2e20cecbf7af5bac87a41b80cd07570a20bc32e","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-18T04:41:04Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"dd2e4f398ba62a6aa148f43c5769ba42caffcb39ab065a730b9f12187d39eadf","cross_cats_sorted":[],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"physics.optics","submitted_at":"2010-08-11T07:48:26Z","title_canon_sha256":"6836d59183634be443b0efee69c4a7000b90df6debde5cb0b1a3a4f79161d3c4"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"1008.1849","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"24d6b6827a1f5a2fc3b08af5426601dc0604833e981fb4b184a739243b9f3ffa","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"24d6b6827a1f5a2fc3b08af5426601dc0604833e981fb4b184a739243b9f3ffa","first_computed_at":"2026-05-18T04:41:04.859616Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-18T04:41:04.859616Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"5flKssRJ1N4zU2UChhgZezWBN1lC0W5oDA6Jv2k+uIxFafm4dNE3XqtQs3B1vXBq1ZXo3ZSfF/lsfaUyOfZhDQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-18T04:41:04.860140Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"1008.1849","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:fe7784d7fedd72246eaebb42b2e20cecbf7af5bac87a41b80cd07570a20bc32e","sha256:fd11ec29e08904dd8eb95d1dd0501483f5efe4da1314ee7075e2796d0e4ec938"],"state_sha256":"4bb55d0555dabfdd8b760acdc804443eb00f2fec2251787c343a25d6eb01ddb5"}
