We show for each $\\alpha \\in (1,2)$ that if the face degree is in the domain of attraction of an $\\alpha$-stable L\\'evy process, the corresponding random planar map has an infinite volume limit in the Benjamini-Schramm topology. We also show in the limit that the properly rescaled contour functions associated with the northwest and southeast trees converge in law to a certain correlated pair of $\\alpha$-stable L\\'evy processes. Combined with other work, this allows us to identify the scaling limit of the planar map","authors_text":"Jason Miller, Konstantinos Kavvadias","cross_cats":["math.CO"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.PR","submitted_at":"2022-02-04T18:20:17Z","title":"Bipolar oriented random planar maps with large faces and exotic SLE$_\\kappa(\\rho)$ processes"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2202.02289","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:b858b408647d9003a56dba714dc905165220fdebe2bd00cf617e37df5c932909","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T03:54:10Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"5b55e2e48952e5be3e057a0c0c261a4fc9048dba939545bd7a33066ec0d31f41","cross_cats_sorted":["math.CO"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.PR","submitted_at":"2022-02-04T18:20:17Z","title_canon_sha256":"48febd74b8ec5d0adad5a60621e33cd5262b5bcdf92f23acdb7b185456f6fc27"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2202.02289","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"3c5a643e67fe8dd8c4645efb77c7e2649466d9b477b104aaca91dc5b3165a52b","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"3c5a643e67fe8dd8c4645efb77c7e2649466d9b477b104aaca91dc5b3165a52b","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T03:54:10.354383Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T03:54:10.354383Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"TsvnxOcj30MhuK8Vm0YcfhC6ERbLwbKQ6w1qWnGrVv3DlG8WdsONt776w2y7RHZl/r/ffF6K9JaBefwNFIIFBA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T03:54:10.354771Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2202.02289","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:b858b408647d9003a56dba714dc905165220fdebe2bd00cf617e37df5c932909","sha256:2b0d7a933dbc0572154f4b5f9615ef12d79b92dccf47ed4714773b3541389707"],"state_sha256":"78a9d04b1d06ce5826edcdeb2aa805f4b956470915e1f1974d8e51d93005ba7f"}
