The two methods considered are a Monte Carlo (MC) simulation and the evolution of fragmentation functions described by the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) equations. We find that the pion, nucleon and all-hadron spectra calculated with the two methods agree well.
