Using thin films with various sizes and aspect ratios we show that the `critical' sheet-resistance $R_{{\\small \\square}}$ depends systematically on sample geometry; superconductivity disappears when $R_{{\\small \\square}}$ exceeds $\\approx6 $k$\\Omega$ in large samples.
