The Hulth\\'en tensor interaction is studied instead of the commonly used Coulomb or linear terms. The generalized parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions in their closed forms. We show that tensor interaction removes degeneracies between spin and p-spin doublets.
