Addressing H₀ tension by means of VCDM
read the original abstract
In this letter we propose a reduction of the $H_0$ tension puzzle by means of a theory of minimally modified gravity which is dubbed VCDM. After confronting the theory with the experiments, we find that the data allow for a low-redshift transition in the expansion history of the universe at either $z\simeq 0.3 $ or $z \simeq 1.8\,$, corresponding to one of the two local minima of the total $\chi^2$. From the bestfit values the total fitness parameter is improved by $\Delta \chi^2 \simeq 12$, for the data set considered. We then infer the local Hubble expansion rate today within this theory by means of low redshift Pantheon data. The resulting local Hubble expansion rate today is $H^{\rm{loc}}_0=73.6\pm1.4$. We find the tension is reduced within the VCDM theory.

$\Lambda_{\rm s}$CDM cosmology from a type-II minimally modified gravity
Λ_s VCDM is a predictive model combining Λ_s CDM with VCDM gravity via an auxiliary scalar field and sigmoid-smoothed potentials to enable stable mirror AdS-to-dS transitions with possible transient acceleration.

Nonlinear Matter Power Spectrum from relativistic $N$-body Simulations: $\Lambda_{\rm s}$CDM versus $\Lambda$CDM
Relativistic N-body simulations of Lambda_s CDM produce a redshift-dependent crest in the matter power spectrum ratio, peaking at 20-25% near the transition and leaving a 15-20% uplift at z=0 on group scales.

Negative neutrino mass or negative dark energy?
A sign-switching dark energy model (Λ_s CDM) recovers positive effective neutrino masses (0.055 ± 0.050 eV) consistent with oscillation data, unlike ΛCDM which prefers negative values (-0.075 eV), for DESI DR2 + CMB +...

Do equation of state parametrizations of dark energy faithfully capture the dynamics of the late universe?
Node-based reconstruction of cosmic expansion prefers stronger deceleration at z≈1.7 than smooth DE EoS parametrizations, isolating z~1.5-2 as a window where the latter may compress localized kinematic features permit...

Probing Dynamical Dark Energy with Late-Time Data: Evidence, Tensions, and the Limits of the $w_0w_a$CDM Framework
Evidence for dynamical dark energy in the w0waCDM framework is strongly dataset-dependent, driven by mismatches in low-redshift BAO distance ratios that produce divergent expansion histories and inconsistent Hubble te...
