A nonsingular bouncing cosmology in which the scales of interest today exit the Hubble radius in a matter-dominated contracting phase yields an alternative to inflation for producing a scale-invariant spectrum of adiabatic cosmological fluctuations. In this paper we identify signatures in the non-Gaussianities of the fluctuations which are specific to this scenario and allow it to be distinguished from the results of inflationary models.

  1. Primordial non-Gaussianities of scalar and tensor perturbations in general bounce cosmology: Evading the no-go theorem

    gr-qc 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In Horndeski gravity, matter bounce models can simultaneously satisfy the tensor-to-scalar ratio bound and non-Gaussianity constraints, evading a no-go theorem that applies to k-essence bounce models.

    astro-ph.CO 2025-05 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

This review traces the history of dynamical dark energy, presents the no-go theorem against single-field crossing of w = -1, and surveys viable Quintom constructions including multi-field models and modified gravity i...

  4. A short review on Quintom dark energy theory

    astro-ph.CO 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 2.0 of 10
