abstract

We investigate the evolution of the gravitational potential in Rastall scalar field theories. In a single component model a consistent perturbation theory, formulated in the newtonian gauge, is possible only for $\gamma = 1$, which is the General Relativity limit. On the other hand, the addition of another canonical fluid component allows also to consider the case $\gamma \neq 1$.

  1. Horizon-scale tests of gravity theories and fundamental physics from the Event Horizon Telescope image of Sagittarius A$^*$

    gr-qc 2022-05 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

EHT observations of Sgr A* constrain deviations from GR black hole solutions including regular BHs, string-inspired spacetimes, and BH mimickers, with some limits exceeding cosmological bounds.

  2. Exploring Hubble Tension Alleviation through Neutrino-Coupled Perturbed $f(R)$ Gravity

    gr-qc 2025-02 reject novelty 2.0 of 10

A fit of Hu-Sawicki f(R) gravity with a fitted neutrino interaction to CMB, lensing, BAO, CC, and Pantheon data returns H0 near 70 km/s/Mpc, partially easing but not resolving the Hubble and S8 tensions.
