We develop the effective theory of large-scale structure for non-Gaussian initial conditions. The effective stress tensor in the dark matter equations of motion contains new operators, which originate from the squeezed limit of the primordial bispectrum. Parameterizing the squeezed limit by a scaling and an angular dependence, captures large classes of primordial non-Gaussianity. Within this parameterization, we classify the possible contributions to the effective theory. We show explicitly how all terms consistent with the symmetries arise from coarse graining the dark matter equations of motion and its initial conditions. We also demonstrate that the system is closed under renormalization and that the basis of correction terms is therefore complete. The relevant corrections to the matter power spectrum and bispectrum are computed numerically and their relative importance is discussed.

  1. Searching for Folded Primordial Non-Gaussianity with Galaxy Surveys

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The galaxy bispectrum, not the power spectrum, is the main probe of folded primordial non-Gaussianity; narrow folded signals are washed out by Fourier-space binning.

  2. Large deviations for halos and voids: beyond perturbative non-gaussianities

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Excursion-set halo and void abundances are derived for exponential-tailed non-Gaussian fluctuations, giving new first-passage-time formulas and a void-size-function series.

  3. One-Loop Galaxy Bispectrum: Consistent Theory, Efficient Analysis with COBRA, and Implications for Cosmological Parameters

    astro-ph.CO 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Using the COBRA basis, the one-loop EFT galaxy bispectrum runs in about one second per cosmology and recovers the input cosmology of PTChallenge simulations up to k_max = 0.15 h/Mpc (monopole) and 0.12 h/Mpc (higher m...

  4. Projecting Unequal Time Fields and Correlators of Large Scale Structure

    astro-ph.CO 2025-02 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

A comprehensive Planck PR4 trispectrum analysis finds no primordial non-Gaussianity across 33 templates and sets leading constraints, including tau_NL loc < 1500 at 95% CL.

  6. Reanalyzing DESI DR1: 2. Constraints on Dark Energy, Spatial Curvature, and Neutrino Masses

    astro-ph.CO 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Reanalysis of DESI full-shape clustering data tightens constraints on neutrino mass, spatial curvature, and dark energy equation-of-state parameters relative to BAO-only results.

  7. GGI Lectures on Large-Scale Structure Perturbation Theory (Effective Field Theory)

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 accept novelty 2.0 of 10

Pedagogical notes derive large-scale-structure EFT from symmetries, covering SPT failures, BAO IR resummation, counterterms, galaxy bias, redshift-space distortions, and Lagrangian PT.
