We study in detail the vacuum structure of a composite two Higgs doublet model based on a minimal underlying theory with 3 Dirac fermions in pseudo-real representations of the condensing gauge interactions, leading to the SU(6)/Sp(6) symmetry breaking pattern. We find that, independently on the source of top mass, the most general CP-conserving vacuum is characterised by three non-vanishing angles. A special case occurs if the Yukawas are aligned, leading to a single angle. In the latter case, a Dark Matter candidate arises, protected by a global U(1) symmetry.

  1. Velocity-dependent self-interacting dark matter and composite Higgs

    hep-ph 2024-12 reject novelty 6.0 of 10

A composite Higgs model in which dark matter mass and a light scalar mediator both arise from hypercolor dynamics, giving velocity-dependent self-interacting dark matter with a claimed viable thermal relic.

  2. Meson spectroscopy in the $Sp(4)$ gauge theory with three antisymmetric fermions

    hep-lat 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Lattice simulations of Sp(4) with three antisymmetric Dirac fermions find QCD-like confinement and chiral symmetry breaking, and provide a first continuum-extrapolated meson spectrum.

  3. Dark matter in composite Higgs models with a scotogenic EFT

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In the SU(6)/Sp(6) composite Higgs model with a scotogenic Z2, three of four neutral pseudo-Goldstone dark matter candidates can reproduce the observed relic density, while the SU(2)L triplet candidate fails; spin-1 r...
