abstract

Recently, entropy of static supersymmetric black holes in $AdS_6$ was microscopically counted by the topologically twisted index of five-dimensional superconformal field theories. However, the AdS/CFT dictionary states that the partition function of the boundary field theory corresponds to the on-shell action of the bulk quantum gravity. In this paper, we aim to explain the microscopic counting of black hole entropy by the topologically twisted index. We calculate the renormalized on-shell action and show that the on-shell action equals the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the supersymmetric black holes in $AdS_6$.

  1. Wrapped Brane Solutions in Romans $F(4)$ Gauged Supergravity

    hep-th 2019-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Wrapped D4-branes in Romans F(4) gauged supergravity are mapped to supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric AdS vacua, with new non-BPS AdS2 solutions whose stability is checked against the Breitenlohner-Freedman bound.

  2. Uplifting supersymmetric $AdS_6$ black holes to type II supergravity

    hep-th 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The author uplifts supersymmetric AdS6 black holes from F(4) gauged supergravity into massive type IIA and type IIB supergravity, and verifies an entropy match in the IIA case.
