abstract
The flux power spectrum of the high resolution Lyman-$\alpha$ forest data exhibits suppression at small scales. The origin of this suppression can be due to long-sought warm dark matter (WDM) or to thermal effects, related to the largely unknown reionization history of the Universe. Previous works explored a specific class of reionization histories that exhibit sufficiently strong thermal supression and leave little room for warm dark matter interpretation. In this work we choose a different class of reionization histories, fully compatible with available data on evolution of reionization, but much colder then the reionization histories used by previous authors in determining the nature of dark matter, thus leaving the broadest room for the WDM interpretation of the suppression in the flux power spectrum. We find that WDM thermal relics with masses below 1.9 keV (95% CL) would produce a suppression at scales that are larger than observed maximum of the flux power spectrum, independently of assumptions about thermal effects. This WDM mass is significantly lower than previously claimed bounds, demonstrating the level of systematic uncertainty of the Lyman-$\alpha$ forest method, due to the previous modelling. We also discuss how this uncertainty may affect also data at large scales measured by eBOSS.

Opening up New Parameter Space for Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter
A new production channel, nu_a + nu_a -> nu_s + nu_s, mediated by a heavy scalar, can generate the observed sterile neutrino dark matter abundance independently of active-sterile mixing.

Dark Photons from Perturbative Decay of a Misaligned Higgs Field
Stochastically misaligned dark Higgs decay into dark photons can make all the dark matter for m_A′ ≈ 100 eV–1 GeV and g ≈ 10^-15–10^-10, shrinking to 10 keV–1 MeV with one-loop kinetic mixing.

Small-scale Lyman alpha forest cosmology with PRIYA: Constraints from XQ100 and KODIAQ-SQUAD one-dimensional flux power spectra
The XQ100 Lyman-alpha forest power spectrum, modeled with the PRIYA simulations, gives cosmological constraints consistent with eBOSS and Planck and constrains the IGM thermal history without external temperature data...

Bounds and detection of MeV-scale dark matter annihilation to neutrinos
Relic dark matter annihilation into neutrinos after neutrino decoupling adds a nonthermal contribution to the effective number of neutrino species, which can exclude large annihilation cross sections for MeV-scale dar...

A multi-axion model of inflation and dark matter
A 300-mode Kaluza-Klein axion tower is proposed as a unified inflaton and dark-matter sector, but the lightest state's quoted lifetime contradicts the paper's own decay-rate formula.
