The open source HIP platform for GPU computing provides an uniform framework to support both the NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, and also the possibility to porting the CUDA code to the HIP- compatible one. We present the porting progress on the Overlap fermion inverter (GWU-code) and also the general Lattice QCD inverter package - QUDA. The manual of using QUDA on HIP and also the tips of porting general CUDA code into the HIP framework are also provided.

  1. Light Cone Distribution Amplitude for the $\Lambda$ Baryon from Lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2024-11 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The first lattice QCD extraction of the Lambda baryon's light-cone distribution amplitude via LaMET yields a momentum-fraction distribution peaked at small light-quark momenta.

  2. Impact of Dynamical Charm Quark and Mixed Action Effect on Light Hadron Masses and Decay Constants

    hep-lat 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A dynamical charm quark does not measurably change light-hadron masses or decay constants, and a clover-on-HISQ mixed action reduces O(a^2) discretization errors in the continuum limit.

  3. Toward precise $\xi$ gauge fixing for the lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2025-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

An empirical precision-extrapolation method reproduces the ξ-dependent RI/MOM renormalization constants of quark bilinear operators on the lattice to 0.2-0.3% for ξ up to 1.

  4. Unveiling the Strong Interaction origin of Baryon Masses with Lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

First-principles lattice QCD decomposes baryon masses into quark sigma terms and a roughly flavor-independent gluon trace anomaly around 1 GeV.
