We study the single hadron inclusive production in the forward rapidity region in proton-nucleus collisions. We find the long-standing negative cross section at next-to-leading-order (NLO) is driven by the large negative threshold logarithmic contributions. We established a factorization theorem for resumming these logarithms with systematically improvable accuracy within the color glass condensate formalism. We demonstrate how the threshold leading logarithmic accuracy can be realized by a suitable scale choice in the NLO results. The NLO spectrums with the threshold logarithms resummed remain positive and impressive agreements with experimental data are observed.

  1. Forward parton-nucleus scattering at next-to-eikonal accuracy in the CGC

    hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Full next-to-eikonal quark and gluon propagators in a dynamical gluon background are derived, and forward quark and gluon production cross sections are computed for quark-nucleus and gluon-nucleus scattering.

  2. Simultaneous Color Glass Condensate fit to deep inelastic scattering and forward hadron production at HERA, RHIC, and the LHC

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A simultaneous LO CGC/BK fit to HERA DIS and RHIC/LHC forward hadron production reaches χ²/dof≈1, with complementary constraints and RHIC K-factors roughly twice those at the LHC.
