This article provides the details on the technical derivation of the gravitational waveform and total gravitational-wave energy flux of non-spinning compact binary systems to the 4PN (fourth post-Newtonian) order beyond the Einstein quadrupole formula. In particular: (i) we overview the link between the radiative multipole moments measured at infinity and the source moments in the framework of dimensional regularization; (ii) we compute special corrections to the source moments due to "infrared" commutators arising at the 4PN order; (iii) we derive a "post-adiabatic" correction needed to evaluate the tail integral with 2.5PN relative precision; (iv) we discuss the relation between the binary's orbital frequency in quasi-circular orbit and the gravitational-wave frequency measured at infinity; (v) we compute the hereditary effects at the 4PN order, including those coming from the recently derived tails-of-memory; and (vi) we describe the various tests we have performed to ensure the correctness of the results. Those results are collected in an ancillary file.

  1. From the confluent Heun equation to a new factorized and resummed gravitational waveform for circularized, nonspinning, compact binaries

    gr-qc 2026-02 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A new resummation absorbs all test-mass logarithms and transcendental numbers into closed-form factors, leaving rational polynomial waveform corrections up to 10PN.

  2. Gravitational radiation reaction for compact binary systems at the fourth-and-a-half post-Newtonian order in harmonic coordinates

    gr-qc 2026-01 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The 4.5PN radiation-reaction acceleration of nonspinning compact binaries is derived in harmonic coordinates, including a dimensional-regularization pole, and is shown to satisfy flux-balance laws and Lorentz invariance.

  3. Local-in-Time Conservative Binary Dynamics at Fifth Post-Minkowskian and First Self-Force Orders

    hep-th 2025-06 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The authors isolate the nonlocal tail part of the 5PM/1SF scattering angle and reconstruct a local-in-time Hamiltonian for generic bound orbits.

  4. Impact of numerical-relativity waveform calibration on parametrized post-Einsteinian tests

    gr-qc 2026-03 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

NR late-inspiral calibration systematics in IMRPhenomD produce false ppE GR violations at O5 SNRs ≳60; an uncertainty-aware baseline restores consistency with GR up to SNR 330.

  5. Radiated Energy Spectrum, Radiated Angular Distribution and Non-linear Memory from the One-loop Gravitational Bremsstrahlung Waveform

    gr-qc 2026-07 accept novelty 5.5 of 10

One-loop gravitational bremsstrahlung yields the GW energy spectrum, angular distribution to G^4, and nonlinear memory multipoles to G^5 at 7.5PN accuracy in the CM frame.
