We study propagation of a point particle in a massless higher-spin background employing the light-cone gauge approach. We find the point particle action and the associated phase space Poincare charges at the leading order in higher-spin fields. We also compare our results with the analogous covariant results available in the literature.

Three-dimensional non-relativistic chiral massive higher-spin gravity
A non-relativistic massive higher-spin gravity in deformed AdS₃ is constructed by Lifshitz-deforming and null-reducing chiral massless higher-spin gravity; under an assumed mass-spin relation its cubic couplings vanis...

Inconsistency of point-particle dynamics on higher-spin backgrounds: massive particles
Massive scalar particles cannot have local interactions with chiral higher-spin backgrounds, so no higher-spin extension of Riemannian geometry of this type exists.
