abstract

We show that the coexistence of a non-minimal coupling to gravity $f_{\mathcal{R}}=1+c{\mathcal{R}} \phi^{n/2}$ with a kinetic mixing of the form $f_K = f_{\mathcal{R}}^m$ -- where $n=2$ and 4 and $0.5 \le m \le 10$ -- reconciles chaotic inflation based on the $\phi^n$ potential with the recent ACT results, if we adopt the Palatini formulation of gravity. The attainment of inflation allows for subplanckian inflaton values and energy scales below the cut-off scale of the corresponding effective theory. The model can be also embedded in supergravity by introducing two chiral superfields and a monomial superpotential, linear with respect to the inflaton-accompanying field. Its stabilization is achieved thanks to a compact contribution to the Kaehler potential, whose the inflationary part includes an holomorphic logarithmic term and a real one multiplying a shift-symmetric quadratic polynomial term.

  1. GUT-Scale Smooth Hybrid Inflation with a Stabilized Modulus in Light of ACT and SPT Data

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A smooth hybrid inflation model, augmented with a stabilized modulus, reproduces the spectral index measured by ACT and SPT while keeping Higgs v.e.v.s at the GUT scale.

  2. Induced-Gravity Palatini-Like Higgs Inflation in Supergravity Confronts ACT DR6

    hep-ph 2026-02 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

A Palatini-supergravity Higgs-inflation model with induced gravity predicts a scalar spectral index ns≈0.972-0.974, consistent with ACT DR6, and favors split supersymmetry with gravitino mass 40-60 PeV.

  3. Inflationary assessment of $F(\mathcal{R},\tilde{\mathcal{R}})$ Einstein-Cartan models

    gr-qc 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Adding cubic Holst-invariant terms to F(R,R̃) Einstein-Cartan inflation models systematically lowers the predicted spectral index n_s and tensor-to-scalar ratio r, restoring data compatibility in parameter regions whe...

  4. The BAO-CMB Tension and Implications for Inflation

    astro-ph.CO 2025-07 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

The upward shift in the scalar spectral index n_s in CMB+BAO analyses is driven by the combined effects of a known CMB degeneracy and the tension between CMB and DESI BAO data, not by new information about n_s itself.

  5. Constraining Quintessential Inflation with ACT: A Gauss-Bonnet Gateway

    astro-ph.CO 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 4.5 of 10

Exponential and sech Gauss–Bonnet couplings restore ACT-compatible ns and r for quintessential inflation, while tanh fails for a structural sign reason; reheating remains BBN-safe.

  6. Constant-roll $\beta$-exponential inflation: Palatini formalism

    gr-qc 2026-01 reject novelty 4.0 of 10

A parameter scan of constant-roll β-exponential inflation in Palatini R² gravity claims agreement with ACT/Planck contours, but the derivation is undermined by algebraic sign errors and an absent non-Gaussianity calculation.

  7. (Lovelock)$^2$ inflation: explaining the ACT data and equivalence to Higgs-Gauss-Bonnet inflation

    gr-qc 2025-12 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A quadratic f(L) gravity with a negative Gauss-Bonnet coupling shifts Starobinsky inflation's (n_s, r) predictions toward the ACT-preferred higher n_s, at the cost of a larger tensor-to-scalar ratio.

  8. Power Law Plateau Inflation and Primary Gravitational Waves in the light of ACT

    astro-ph.CO 2025-07 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Power-law plateau inflation can sit inside the 1 sigma region of ACT DR6, but the reheating bound from gravitational waves forces the total number of e-folds N_k below about 62.
