The standard picture of the loop expansion associates a factor of h-bar with each loop, suggesting that the tree diagrams are to be associated with classical physics, while loop effects are quantum mechanical in nature. We discuss examples wherein classical effects arise from loop contributions and display the relationship between the classical terms and the long range effects of massless particles.

  1. Kerr Soft Dressing and the $w_{1+\infty}$ Frame Algebra at Null Infinity

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0

The Kerr soft exponent generates a parity-alternating hierarchy of null-infinity frame generators—displacement memory at s=0, spin memory at s=1, and higher moments alternating by Kerr multipole parity—realized as the...

  2. The Graviton Propagator in Asymptotically Safe Gravity with Non-Local Form Factors

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

At quadratic order in asymptotically safe gravity, the graviton propagator has a single pole at q²=0 with positive residue, no ghost poles, and yields a regular Newtonian potential at r=0.

  3. Asymptotically Safe Gravitational Form Factors from the Proper-Time Flow Equation

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Asymptotically safe gravitational form factors are obtained by integrating the proper-time flow to k=0; finite cutoff-independent results with 1/q² UV decay require selecting the non-Gaussian fixed point as UV boundar...

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

In five dimensions, minimally coupled massive vector and antisymmetric tensor fields produce only mass or stress quadrupoles respectively from scattering amplitudes, failing to match the Myers-Perry black hole and dem...
