Non-unitary neutrino mixing in the light neutrino sector is a direct consequence of type-I seesaw neutrino mass models. In these models, light neutrino mixing is described by a sub-matrix of the full lepton mixing matrix and, then, it is not unitary in general. In consequence, neutrino oscillations are characterized by additional parameters, including new sources of CP violation. Here we perform a combined analysis of short and long-baseline neutrino oscillation data in this extended mixing scenario. We did not find a significant deviation from unitary mixing, and the complementary data sets have been used to constrain the non-unitarity parameters. We have also found that the T2K and NOvA tension in the determination of the Dirac CP-phase is not alleviated in the context of non-unitary neutrino mixing.

New parameter region in sterile neutrino searches: a scenario to alleviate cosmological neutrino mass bound and its testability at oscillation experiments
IceCube can test massless sterile neutrinos lighter than active neutrinos in the inverted-ordering regime, with sensitivity to sin^2 2theta24 ~ 10^-2 at |Delta m^2_41| ~ 0.2 eV^2, a region opened by the Farzan-Hannest...

Probing non-unitarity of the PMNS matrix in P2SO and comparison with DUNE
Projected GLoBES sensitivities show DUNE constrains the non-unitarity parameters α11 and |α21| better, while P2SO wins on α33 (and marginally α22); non-unitarity also distorts mass-hierarchy, octant, and CP-violation ...

Testing lepton non-unitarity with the next generation of Germanium-based CE$\nu$NS reactor experiments
A future 100-kg Germanium reactor CEνNS experiment could constrain lepton non-unitarity to 1−α11² ≈ 0.005 and, under low-scale seesaw assumptions, probe new-physics scales up to ~2.5 TeV.

Probing conventional and new physics at the ESS with coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering
Projected ESS CEνNS measurements would improve current constraints on the weak mixing angle, nuclear neutron radii, and several new physics scenarios by large factors, and would lead in some unexplored mass ranges.
