The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) will operate as an AM/FM receiver for gravitational waves. For binary systems, the source location, orientation and orbital phase are encoded in the amplitude and frequency modulation. The same modulations spread a monochromatic signal over a range of frequencies, making it difficult to identify individual sources. We present a method for detecting and subtracting individual binary signals from a data stream with many overlapping signals.

Residual Galactic binary foreground in LISA stochastic gravitational-wave background inference: source power concentration and spectral degeneracy
Residual Galactic binaries left after catalog-matched recovery inflate the LISA flat-SGWB amplitude uncertainty by 13.6% when their amplitude is marginalized, and would bias it by ~120σ if omitted.

Gravitational-wave parameter estimation to the Moon and back: massive binaries and the case of GW231123
LGWA could observe more than one third of known binary black hole events, detect ~90 mergers per year, and measure chirp mass better than third-generation detectors for massive systems.
