We investigate a new mechanism to create large curvature perturbations on small scales due to parameter resonance in a single-field inflationary model with a small periodic structure upon the potential. After reentering the horizon, the amplified curvature perturbations can lead to observable primordial black holes as well as stochastic gravitational waves. The mass of primordial black holes and frequency of the induced gravitational waves depend on the model parameters. The resulted primordial black hole could constitute all dark matter or a fraction of dark matter in the universe, and corresponding stochastic gravitational waves fall in the frequency band measurable for the pulsar timing array and the space-based gravitational wave detectors.

  1. Evading the CMB $\mu$-distortion bound on Supermassive Primordial Black Hole seeds with Non-Gaussian tails

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Under the FIRAS μ-distortion variance cap, power-law and heavy log-normal PDF tails can yield seed-relevant PBH abundances, while Gaussian and ordinary exponential tails cannot.

  2. Two-Dimensional Pulsar Distance Inference from Nanohertz Gravitational Waves

    gr-qc 2025-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A two-dimensional joint-posterior analysis of multiple nanohertz gravitational-wave sources can infer pulsar distances below the parsec level in simulated SKA-era pulsar timing arrays.

  3. Scalar-induced gravitational waves from a box-shaped curvature power spectrum

    gr-qc 2026-07 accept novelty 5.5 of 10

Analytic SIGW spectra for a log-box curvature power spectrum: narrow-box geometric overlap factor turning IR slope k^{3}ln^{2}k into k^{2}ln^{2}k, plus broad-box product of universal edge functions.

  4. One-loop corrections to infrared GWs is forbidden by symmetries

    gr-qc 2025-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In non-attractor single-field inflation, one-loop corrections to superhorizon gravitational waves cancel, and a Ward identity explains why.
