We study the conjectured connection between AdS bubbles (AdS solitons) and closed string tachyon condensations. We confirm that the entanglement entropy, which measures the degree of freedom, decreases under the tachyon condensation. The entropies in supergravity and free Yang-Mills agree with each other remarkably. Next we consider the tachyon condensation on the AdS twisted circle and argue that its endpoint is given by the twisted AdS bubble, defined by the double Wick rotation of rotating black 3-brane solutions. We calculated the Casimir energy and entropy and checked the agreements between the gauge and gravity results. Finally we show an infinite boost of a null linear dilaton theory with a tachyon wall (or bubble), leads to a solvable time-dependent background with a bulk tachyon condensation. This is the simplest example of spacetimes with null boundaries in string theory.

  1. The Entanglement Wedge Polygon

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

The paper defines the entanglement wedge polygon as the intersection of entanglement wedges external to individual homology regions and studies its topological and geometric properties in AdS examples.

  2. Holographic entanglement entropy under external magnetic field from the EMD model

    hep-th 2026-05 conditional novelty 6.0

Entanglement entropy in a holographic QCD model with a magnetic field develops a swallow-tail and becomes multivalued at large chemical potential, mirroring the model's own thermodynamic phase transitions.

  3. Holographic Subregion Complexity and Fidelity Susceptibility in Noncommutative Yang--Mills Theory

    hep-th 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0

In the noncommutative Yang–Mills dual, holographic subregion complexity acquires a lower bound and a minimum-length scale, and strong subadditivity fails exactly at that scale.

  4. The Entanglement Wedge Polygon

    hep-th 2026-06 conditional novelty 5.0

The entanglement wedge polygon volume is proposed as a holographic probe of multipartite entanglement; in AdS3 it is topologically quantized, and a mixed-state generalization is constructed.

  5. Holographic entanglement entropy under external magnetic field from the EMD model

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Holographic entanglement entropy exhibits a swallow-tail structure indicating connected-to-disconnected transitions for perpendicular magnetic fields in the QCD phase diagram while remaining monotonic for parallel fie...

  6. Diagnosing Critical Behavior in AdS Einstein-Maxwell-Scalar Theory via Holographic Entanglement Measures

    hep-th 2025-12 conditional novelty 4.0

In the EMS holographic model, entanglement entropy, mutual information, wedge cross-section, and butterfly velocity all show critical exponent 1—twice the scalar order parameter—and MI grows faster than EWCS across th...
