We propose a simple and efficient way to compute quasinormal frequencies of spherically symmetric black holes. We revisit an old idea that relates them to bound state energies of anharmonic oscillators by an analytic continuation. This connection enables us to achieve remarkable high-order computations of WKB series by Rayleigh-Schr\"odinger perturbation theory. The known WKB results are easily reproduced. Our analysis shows that the perturbative WKB series of the quasinormal frequencies turn out to be Borel summable divergent series both for the Schwarzschild and for the Reissner-Nordstr\"om black holes. Their Borel sums reproduce the correct numerical values.

  1. Quasinormal Modes of Extremal Reissner-Nordstrom Black Holes via Seiberg-Witten Quantization

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Quasinormal-mode frequencies of extremal Reissner-Nordström black holes for charged and massive scalar fields are computed through Seiberg-Witten/Nekrasov-Shatashvili quantization.

  2. Resumming Kerr Quasinormal-Mode Frequencies: Accuracy and Breakdown Near Extremality

    gr-qc 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

Padé-resummed high-order WKB yields sub-10^{-7} Kerr QNM errors for damped modes up to a=0.99, but breaks down for zero-damped modes because near-horizon poles spoil the local peak expansion.

  3. Gravitational Bound State Perturbations Inside Black Holes and Isospectrality

    gr-qc 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Polar perturbations inside Schwarzschild have ℓ−1 bound states; ℓ−2 of them are exactly isospectral to axial bound states, and the extra ground state is the algebraically special mode, yielding ΔA = 16π l_Pl².

  4. Bound States of the Schwarzschild Black Hole

    gr-qc 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The bound states of the inverted Regge-Wheeler potential are exponentially condensed near zero energy and strongly delocalized, linking black hole overtone instability to long-range potential features.

  5. Gravitational perturbations of a regular T-duality inspired black hole: Quasinormal modes, excitation factors, and time-domain evolution

    gr-qc 2026-07 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Gravitational quasinormal-mode frequencies of a T-duality-inspired regular black hole are computed, showing the zero-point length makes the ringdown oscillate faster and alters damping non-monotonically.

  6. Charged black holes in Kalb-Ramond gravity: Weak Deflection Angle, Shadow cast, Quasinormal Modes and Neutrino annihilation

    gr-qc 2025-05 reject novelty 4.0 of 10

The Kalb-Ramond black hole phenomenology is mostly an extension of known results, and its shadow formula is internally inconsistent, invalidating the EHT-based constraints.
