We study the production of charmonia and charmed hadrons in nucleus-nucleus collisions at SPS, RHIC, and LHC energies within the framework of the statistical hadronization model. Results from this model are compared to the measured yields and centrality dependence of J/psi production at SPS and RHIC energies. We explore and contrast the centrality dependence of the production of mesons with open and hidden charm at SPS, RHIC, and LHC. The sensitivity of the results to various input parameters is analyzed in detail for RHIC energy.

    nucl-ex 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

First measurement of prompt Ξ_c^0 baryon production in Pb–Pb collisions at √s_NN=5.02 TeV finds a nuclear modification factor reaching about 3 in the 3 < p_T < 4 GeV/c interval in 0–10% central events.

  2. Study of anisotropic flow of heavy hadrons in Au + Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} =$ 200 GeV using HYDJET++ framework

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A centrality-tuned HYDJET++ simulation matches STAR charm-hadron elliptic and triangular flow up to pT around 4 GeV/c and predicts v2-v4 for D± and Lambda_c.
