We reanalyze the non-standard interaction (NSI) solutions to the solar neutrino problem in the light of the latest solar, atmospheric and reactor neutrino data. We show that such solutions, although preferred by the solar data and consistent with the oscillation description of the atmospheric neutrino data, are ruled out by the first results of the KamLAND reactor experiment, at more than 3_sigma.

  1. $\texttt{SNuDD}$: Solar Neutrinos for Direct Detection

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

SNuDD computes solar-neutrino recoil spectra with non-standard interactions and derives NSI limits from xenon direct-detection data that are competitive with dedicated neutrino experiments.

  2. Neutrino NSI in archaeological Pb

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

RES-NOVA with a 0.1 keV threshold and 1 ton·yr exposure could probe neutrino non-standard interactions beyond current global constraints, especially in the eτ sector.

  3. 2020 Global reassessment of the neutrino oscillation picture

    hep-ph 2020-06 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

Updated global fit of neutrino oscillation data gives precise measurements of mixing parameters with a 2.5 sigma preference for normal mass ordering.
