We explore molecular states of two open heavy-quark mesons (Q qbar)-(qbar Q) in a quark-based model in terms of a four-body non-relativistic Hamiltonian with pairwise effective interactions. Molecular states are found in the combinations of {D, D*, B, B*} with {Dbar, Dbar*, Bbar, Bbar*}, including a weakly-bound D-Dbar* state near the threshold which may be qualitatively identified as the 3872 state observed recently by the Belle Collaboration.

  1. Possible Evidence for Neutral Color-Singlet $q\bar q$ Quark Matter from High-Energy Pb-Emulsion Collisions

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

The complex e+e- invariant mass spectrum below 50 MeV is attributed to thermal annihilation and bound states of QED-deconfined and confined neutral q bar q quark matter.

  2. Short-range production of three bottom mesons

    hep-ph 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Leading-order predictions for three-body point production rates of B and B* meson systems are derived in short-range NREFT from two-body input alone.

  3. Hidden-Charm Tetraquarks in a Mixture Model: Coupled-Channel Analysis with $c\bar{c}$ and Hadronic Molecular Components

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A coupled-channel mixture model fitted to the X(3872) and Z(3930) masses predicts the X(3860) at about 3867 MeV, dominated by the charmonium core.

  4. Radiative decays of $X(3872)$ within $D{\bar D}^*$ molecular framework

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Using nonrelativistic effective field theory, the X(3872) is treated as a D*D molecule to predict radiative decay widths to D D gamma, finding a strong neutral-over-charged hierarchy and quantifying D D rescattering effects.

  5. Probing the structure of $\chi_{c1}(3872)$: Heavy quark symmetries at work

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

Heavy-quark large-mass limit applied to E1 transitions of χ_c1(2P) yields decay rates that match LHCb measurements for χ_c1(3872) under the 2P assignment.

  6. $X(3872)$ and hidden charmed tetraquarks

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A diquark-antidiquark quark model with parameters fitted to X(3872) and Tcc predicts hidden-charm tetraquark masses and tentatively assigns XYZ states.
