In this note we analyze the BPS black hole equations in extended supergravities and we find two interesting relations involving first and second derivatives of combinations of the central charges. One relation is a new identity that solely relies on the geometric properties of the scalar manifolds of extended supergravity theories. The other relation is a generalization of a scalar weak gravity conjecture relation conjectured by Palti and uses properties of the underlying black hole solution. We also provide for the first time an explicit covariant construction of the BPS squared action for such solutions.

  1. EFT (String) Tower Building

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Assuming the Integral Scaling Relation and the Emergent String Conjecture, the Kähler potential fixes the UV tower spectrum, and every admissible degree-≤7 tower polytope is a slice of the M-theory G2 polytope.

  2. Taxonomy of branes in infinite distance limits

    hep-th 2025-05 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Under the Emergent String Conjecture and a no-sliding assumption, particle and brane charges must sit on a finite set of lattices, reproducing known string spectra and predicting new branes.

  3. EFT strings and dualities in 4d $\mathcal{N}=1$

    hep-th 2025-04 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The Integer Scaling relation m^2 ~ T^w with w in {1,2,3} is verified for all convex-hull-generating towers in a wide range of 4d N=1 string compactifications, including subleading towers.
