We study the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropies produced by cosine-type quintessence models. In our analysis, effects of the adiabatic and isocurvature fluctuations are both taken into account. For purely adiabatic fluctuations with scale invariant spectrum, we obtain a stringent constraint on the model parameters using the CMB data from COBE, BOOMERanG and MAXIMA. Furthermore, it is shown that isocurvature fluctuations have significant effects on the CMB angular power spectrum at low multipoles in some parameter space, which may be detectable in future satellite experiments. Such a signal may be used to test the cosine-type quintessence models.

  1. Cosmology of axion dark energy in supersymmetric models and constraints on high scale parameters

    astro-ph.CO 2025-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A two-cosine axion dark energy potential fits CMB+BAO+supernova data better than the standard one-cosine potential, while preferring a sub-Planckian decay constant and a feeble dark-matter coupling.

  2. The Lifespan of our Universe

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

If the axion dark energy model with a negative cosmological constant is the true explanation of DES/DESI data, the universe will end in a big crunch at a total age of about 33 billion years.

  3. Extended Dark Energy analysis using DESI DR2 BAO measurements

    astro-ph.CO 2025-03 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Extended analysis of DESI DR2 data confirms robust evidence for dynamical dark energy with phantom crossing preference, stable under parametric and non-parametric modeling.
