In a recent re-analysis of the Standard Model (SM) beta-function for the effective neutrino mass operator, we found that the previous results were not entirely correct. Therefore, we consider the analogous dimension five operators in a class of Two Higgs Doublet Models (2HDM's) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Deriving the renormalization group equations for these effective operators, we confirm the existing result in the case of the MSSM. Some of our 2HDM results are new, while others differ from earlier calculations. This leads to modifications in the renormalization group evolution of leptonic mixing angles and CP phases in the 2HDM's.

  1. Quantum effects on neutrino parameters from a flavored gauge boson

    hep-ph 2026-04 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A family-dependent U(1)_{Lμ-Lτ} gauge boson adds a one-loop term to the Weinberg-operator RGE that can raise the rank of the neutrino mass matrix, generating a lightest neutrino mass even if it starts at zero.

  2. The Hilbert Series and the Flavor Invariants of the 3HDM

    hep-th 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

The full multigraded Hilbert series of the 3HDM is computed in closed form, and a basis of SU(3)-invariant operators is constructed up to cubic order in the quartic couplings.

  3. Running of neutrino mass parameters in the Zee model

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In the Zee model, one-loop EFT running—not direct matching—generates the neutrino mass matrix, and 1% variations in fitted high-scale couplings shift neutrino observables beyond next-generation experimental precision.

  4. Neutrino Mass, Vacuum Stability and Higgs Inflation with Vector-Like Quarks and a Single Right-Handed Neutrino

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

The Standard Model extended by n vector-like quarks and one right-handed neutrino stabilizes the Higgs quartic to the Planck scale, produces viable neutrino masses via Type-I seesaw, and yields inflationary observable...

  5. Radiative $\mu-\tau$ Corrections and Renormalization of Neutrino Mass Operators in Type II Seesaw Models

    hep-ph 2025-05 reject novelty 2.0 of 10

The paper claims a 3% radiative suppression of the reactor angle in Type II seesaw from RG running of mu-tau breaking parameters, but this 'prediction' is derived from a parameter fitted to the measured angle.
