We examine the effect of the Z-boson transverse momentum distribution measured at the Run-1 of the Tevatron on the nonperturbative function of the Collins-Soper-Sterman (CSS) formalism, which resums large logarithmic terms from multiple soft gluon emission in hadron collisions. The inclusion of the Tevatron Run-1 Z-boson data strongly favors a Gaussian form of the CSS nonperturbative function, when combined with the other low energy Drell-Yan data in a global fit.

  1. First constraints on the nonperturbative gluon Collins-Soper kernel

    hep-lat 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

First lattice-QCD constraints on the nonperturbative gluon Collins-Soper kernel are obtained at near-physical pion mass with uNNLL LaMET matching on a single a=0.15 fm ensemble.

  2. Accessing nucleon transversity with one-point energy correlators

    hep-ph 2025-09 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

The paper proposes that one-point energy correlators in transversely polarized proton-proton collisions access the nucleon's transversity distribution through a single-spin asymmetry with sin(φ_s - φ_n) angular depend...

  3. Transverse Charge Distribution as a Probe of Nucleon Transversity

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A charge-flow measurement built only from track angles and charge signs contains a leading-twist chiral-odd dipole that matches the charge-weighted Collins moment, giving enhanced transversity-sensitive asymmetries.

  4. Soft-gluon coupling and the TMD parton branching Sudakov form factor

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The parton branching TMD framework is upgraded from NLL to NNLL accuracy using the soft-gluon physical coupling, with the Collins-Soper kernel evaluated at NNLL.

  5. Modified Coherence and the Transverse Extent of Jets

    hep-ph 2025-01 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Using wave-packets and a modified parton shower, the authors show that jets are transversely broad and derive a gluon-TMDPDF-based relation in which the jet transport coefficient qhat weakens with increasing parton vi...
