We discuss string spectra in the low-tension limit using the BRST formalism, with emphasis on the role of triplets of totally symmetric tensors and spinor-tensors and their generalizations to cases with mixed symmetry and to (A)dS backgrounds. We also present simple compensator forms of the field equations for individual higher-spin gauge fields that display the {unconstrained} gauge symmetry of a previous non-local construction and reduce upon partial gauge fixing to the (Fang-)Fronsdal equations. For Bose fields we also show how a local Lagrangian formulation with {unconstrained} gauge symmetry is determined by a previous BRST construction.

Worldline Higher Spin Gravity
A worldline path integral model for higher-spin gravity in AdS4 is constructed using twistor actions and double-line vertices, reproducing boundary correlators of free boson and fermion vector models.

Equivalence of spin-2 and spin-3 models invariant under transverse diffeomorphisms and the tensionless limit of string theory
Any ghost-free spin-2 or spin-3 TDiff model is equivalent, via source and field redefinitions, to the Maxwell-like model, which matches the string tensionless doublet action.

More on unconstrained descriptions of Higher Spin Massless Particles
A two-field local action for free massless higher-spin particles is proposed, reducing the auxiliary field content by promoting a Lagrange multiplier to a Weyl gauge symmetry.

BRST-BV approach to fields in Poincare patch of AdS
A universal BRST-BV Lagrangian for free AdS fields is obtained by solving algebraic defining equations for spin operators, with explicit solutions for totally symmetric integer-spin and continuous-spin fields.

General Lagrangian formulations for mixed-antisymmetric tensor fields on flat backgrounds
Lagrangian formulations for mixed-antisymmetric higher-spin fields with k-column Young tableaux are constructed via complete and incomplete BRST operators after converting constraints using Verma modules and Howe duality.

On symmetry breaking in the self-dual higher-spin theory
In the self-dual higher-spin theory, a scalar vacuum that breaks AdS symmetry to 3D Poincaré makes all higher-spin gauge fields decouple except spin one, and makes higher-spin currents non-conserved except the spin-on...

Boundary Carroll CFTs: SUSY and Superstrings
Two boundary superconformal Carroll algebras are constructed, and the homogeneous one is shown to be the worldsheet symmetry algebra of a newly constructed open null superstring.

On BRST Lagrangian formulation of massless higher spin fields
The paper pedagogically derives the Fronsdal Lagrangian for free massless higher-spin fields in 4D from the BRST Lagrangian written in terms of two-component spin-tensors.
