Extending gr-qc/0502074, we show that in order to avoid a breakdown of general covariance and gauge invariance at the quantum level the total flux of charge and energy in each outgoing partial wave of a charged quantum field in a Reissner-Nordstrom black hole background must be equal to that of a (1+1) dimensional blackbody at the Hawking temperature with the appropriate chemical potential.

  1. Hawking Radiation meets the Double Copy

    hep-th 2025-10 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Bogoliubov coefficients from scattering a scalar in a collapsing EM background (single copy of Vaidya) match ray-tracing results and connect to Hawking radiation through the double copy.

  2. Evaporation of Primordial Black Holes in a Thermal Universe: A Thermofield Dynamics Approach

    hep-th 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Thermal bath corrections derived via thermofield dynamics enhance the evaporation rate of primordial black holes, shortening their lifetimes relative to zero-temperature calculations.

  3. The Hawking temperature in the context of dark energy for Kerr-Newman and Kerr-Newman-AdS backgrounds

    gr-qc 2019-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

Hawking temperatures for emergent gravity metrics of KN and KNAdS are calculated along θ=0, modified by dark energy from DBI k-essence fields, with metrics satisfying Einstein equations at large r.

  4. Black holes with quantum corrections in $3d$: The case of Page curve in Lindblad, greybody factor, and Lyapunov exponent

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

Applies Lindblad open quantum system methods to quantum-corrected 3d AdS black holes to analyze Page curve zig-zag, greybody factors, and Lyapunov exponents in Cotler-Jensen theory.

  5. Alternative Derivations of Hawking Radiation

    gr-qc 2025-05 unverdicted novelty 2.0 of 10

A review chapter that reproduces and compares the tunneling, anomaly, and Green's function derivations of Hawking radiation, recovering the Hawking temperature and noting open justifications.
