We measure a combination of gravitational lensing, galaxy clustering, and redshift-space distortions called $E_G$. The quantity $E_G$ probes both parts of metric potential and is insensitive to galaxy bias and $\sigma_8$. These properties make it an attractive statistic to test $\Lambda$CDM, General Relativity and its alternate theories. We have combined CMASS DR11 with CFHTLenS and recent measurements of $\beta$ from RSD analysis, and find $E_G(z = 0.57) = 0.42 \pm 0.056$, an 13\% measurement in agreement with the prediction of general relativity $E_G(z = 0.57) = 0.396 \pm 0.011$ using the Planck 2015 cosmological parameters. We have corrected our measurement for various observational and theoretical systematics. Our measurement is consistent with the first measurement of $E_G$ using CMB lensing in place of galaxy lensing (Pullen et. al. 2015a) at small scales, but shows 2.8$\sigma$ tension when compared with their final results including large scales. This analysis with future surveys will provide improved statistical error and better control over systematics to test General Relativity and its alternate theories.

  1. Thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich cross-correlations with unWISE galaxies: disentangling radio contamination, dust properties, and electron pressure

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 conditional novelty 6.0

Adding a fitted radio-emission component to tSZ×galaxy cross-spectra removes an apparent negative small-scale signal and yields spectra consistent with a standard halo model (9.5–11σ BIC preference for the radio term).

  2. Tracing Signatures of Modified Gravity in Redshift-Space Galaxy Bispectrum Multipoles: Prospects for Euclid

    astro-ph.CO 2025-08 unverdicted novelty 6.0

In Hu-Sawicki f(R) gravity the redshift-space bispectrum monopole and quadrupole show 2-8% deviations from GR at z=0.7 and k~0.3 h/Mpc with forecasted SNR of 30 and 15 for Euclid.

  3. Thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich cross-correlations with unWISE galaxies: disentangling radio contamination, dust properties, and electron pressure

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Radio contamination must be jointly fit with tSZ and CIB in unWISE-Planck/ACT cross-spectra; its inclusion yields positive signals to ℓ ≃ 6000 that match a two-parameter generalized NFW pressure profile.

  4. Revisiting the 'Lensing is Low' Problem with UNIONS

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

New UNIONS galaxy-galaxy lensing data around CMASS galaxies indicates no significant lensing is low problem, with joint HOD fits to GGL and GC favoring a slightly lower matter power spectrum amplitude than Planck.

  5. Forecasting the E_G measurements from the photometric and spectroscopic surveys of Chinese Space Station Survey Telescope (CSST)

    astro-ph.CO 2026-01 conditional novelty 5.0

CSST forecasts E_G to 3–9% over 0<z<1.2, with the modified-gravity parameter Σ0 constrained to ~5% if β errors follow an assumed external forecast.
