In this paper, we construct models that admit the traversable wormhole geometries in the framework of Einstein's gravity with two scalar fields. As well known, the energy conditions are broken and we show that there appears a ghost. The ghost can be, however, eliminated by imposing a constraint on the ghost field, which is a scalar. The constraint is similar to the mimetic one proposed by Chamseddine and Mukhanov to construct an alternative description of cold dark matter. We explicitly show that there does not appear any unstable mode although the energy conditions are broken. Therefore we obtain a model that realizes the traversable and stable wormhole.

  1. Observational signatures of negative mass wormholes through their shadows

    gr-qc 2026-05 conditional novelty 5.0

Positive/negative-mass binaries would emit gravitational waves with decreasing frequency and amplitude, and a negative-mass wormhole would cast an asymmetric shadow with richer photon-ring substructure than a black hole.

  2. Observational signatures of negative mass wormholes through their shadows

    gr-qc 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Numerical simulations of negative mass wormholes reveal distinct photon ring substructures in their shadows compared to Schwarzschild black holes and Simpson-Visser wormholes.

  3. May Negative Mass Objects exist in the sky?

    gr-qc 2026-02 reject novelty 4.0

Negative-mass objects are conjectured to arise from fluid-plus-cosmological-constant systems and are realized in reverse-engineered scalar and Gauss-Bonnet models, but the standard-gravity derivation contains a sign error.
